Dr. Leshin has been in private practice since 1974. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology/cardiovascular medicine. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, and his M.D. with honors from the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago. He did his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology at the Boston City Hospital and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. He became an assistant professor of medicine and cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he also was co-director of the Coronary Care Unit at Parkland Memorial Hospital. In 1974, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he set a private practice. From 1986 to 1999, he was chairman of the Cardiology Department at Phoenix Regional Medical Center. Dr. Leshin is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. He holds many memberships and fellowships in prestigious organizations such as Arizona Medical Society, Arizona Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Physicians. He is originally from Chicago, Illinois.
