Education and Background

Dr. Horowitz has been in practice since 1979. He is board certified in internal medicine and a consultant in cardiology. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and received his M.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He did his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Horowitz is a member of the American Heart Association - Arizona Chapter, an associate fellow of the American College of Cardiology, member of Phi Beta Kappa, and lifetime member of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. In his career he has lectured at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan, and at the University of Michigan. Dr. Horowitz is originally from Detroit, Michigan.

Here in Arizona, Dr. Horowitz continues to be involved in medical education.  He is on the speakers' bureau of many pharmaceutical companies, and contributes to hospital housestaff education as well.  In addition, he has been involved in clinical research studies for lipid management and hypertension.
